John the Baptist was the greatest prophet for he had the privilege of going directly before Jesus, preparing the way for his Lord’s ministry. The cities that reject Jesus will have a worse judgment than Sodom for the Lord Himself came to them. But our passage today ends with rest for our souls. We are bid one word – come. Come to Jesus today. Let Him carry the load, walk alongside Him, drawing on His strength rather than striving apart from Him. Come.
