How to be a man? The most important thing is are we men after God’s heart? Everything flows from either our flesh or our relationship with the Lord (Romans 8, it’s our biggest war…within). Our Master, our Captain, our King is the Leader. We, common foot soldiers. Such a model for us is seen in David, the Warrior, the Gentle-man…..most importantly the man pursing the Lord with his heart. Perfect? No. There is hope for us, brothers. May our strength come from the Lord….we “hold the line” looking toward our Kings’ command (Ephesians 6:10, 12-13, 17-19)

– Be obedient about your mission Genesis 2:15,19, Psalms 78:70-72
– Protect your family Nehemiah 4:13-14
– Contend for the Faith Jude 1:3 (pastors Titus 1:9)
– Any man, thru the Gospel and the Power of the Spirit CAN become a faithful man in Christ (Psalms 78:70-72, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

He also chose David His servant, And took him from the sheepfolds; From following the ewes that had young He brought him, To shepherd Jacob His people, And Israel His inheritance. So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.
Psalms 78:70-72 NKJV

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 NKJV

Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name.
Genesis 2:15, 19 NKJV

Therefore I positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall, at the openings; and I set the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. And I looked, and arose and said to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people, “Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”
Nehemiah 4:13-14 NKJV

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints— and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel,
Ephesians 6:10, 12-13, 17-19 NKJV

Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints.
Jude 1:3 NKJV

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Ephesians 6:10 NKJV

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”
II Chronicles 16:9 NKJV
