Sept 1, 2016 Flashback
OK so my favorite things about seminary: 1) exegetical papers (writing a verse by verse study on a passage), 2) lectures on books of the Bible, 3) some pretty awesome professors, 4) discussions on ministry and opportunities in ministry with local pastors, 5) my internship at the Jefferson Baptist Association, 6) did I mention I love the lectures?!
Dislikes:
1) how much liberalism has to be studied in our textbooks to be knowledgeable as a scholar, 2) how higher intellects can stop accepting the Bible because reason becomes their god, 3) The amount of heresy tolerated by seminaries and scholars, 4) A verbal affirmation of the priesthood of all believers meaning that all can study the Bible and interpret it for themselves yet claiming that only scholars do it right.
