Having read most the of the Apocrypha (yes I did Catholic friends) and a good number of the early church fathers (Presbyterian friends), I don’t see why some hold them in such high regard. They are not inspired like Scripture. Many of them sound like sermons. Have some benefit and godly wisdom? Yes, but they leave me hungrier for the real thing—God’s Words.
