Message: Evidences and Implications of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

“…these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing
you may have life in His name.” John 20:31 (NKJV)

Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20:

1. Women were the first witnesses (not considered credible witnesses in 1st Century); specifically, Mary Magdalene Mark 16:9
2. Jesus appeared multiple times to the timid, hiding disciples who all ran at His arrest but became bold and all but one died martyrs’ deaths for Christ because of the Resurrection
3. Jesus strengthened their (and still strengthens our) Faith with His Word, Luke 24:27,32,44-45, Romans 10:17
4. Jesus opens eyes to His Identity—the Son of God Luke 24:30-31,37-43
5. The very fact that the Resurrection is told from multiple different angles by multiple people is
   proof of its truthfulness.

6. The Risen Christ – is the object of our faith 1-11
7. Christ’s resurrection – is the Foundation of the Believers Hope 12-19
8. Death has been and will be destroyed by Christ 20-28, Revelation 20:14-21:1
9. Denying Christ’s resurrection is wicked and vanity; we are baptized symbolizing our
   participation in Christ’s death and resurrection 29-34, Romans 6:4-5
10. A Glorified Body shall be the Believers’ privilege as well 35-49
11. Victory! 50-57
12. Because of His victory, because of His resurrection power, we are encouraged that our labor for
    the Lord is never in vain. 58

13. Assurance of eternal life is in Christ alone 1-8
14. Judgement Day is coming 9-11
15. Urgency: Therefore, Be Reconciled to God thru Christ, God’s only Son 12-21
