Career-work advice from Scripture summary: Pray YES. But be waffling and floating from thing to thing waiting for God to zap you with lightning with the perfect job? The Bible says in Ecclesiastes that “whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might.” The New Testament reaffirms, “let the believer remain in the calling (vocation) he was in before he was called” and to “work as unto the Lord not to men.” Pray, assess your God-given wiring but Just Do something. That may not sound spiritual but if God has not clearly called you to a specific thing, then you are simply called to be a steward of how God has created you. Go do something, and scripture’s wisdom seems to teach to try to do something that you have some wiring for. But even if you work in something that isn’t your strength, you can be a witness for Christ in your weakness.

Brothers and Sisters who I know are wrestling with career decisions right now, I hope this is encouraging to you.
