The main point of the detailed theology here is that faith is the point. All the religions of the world are spelled d-o and Christ is spelled d-o-n-e. It is a constant battle, am I better because of what I do or don’t do? Or am I resting not in myself nor my regrets in sin but in Christ? His person, His work, His perfection.
The last verse really stood out to me:
“who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification.” Romans 4:25 NKJV
I’m justified not by my obedience but by His grace. I long to please Him but find that it’s only possible by faith: that God who graciously saved me will continue His work through and in me. My one job is to stay humble, surrendered, yielded.
Scripture calls us to be living from being justified not trying to justify myself
What did you behold today is Romans 4?
