What do you do with God’s truth? It is interesting that it is not a question of how you respond initially (many hear the Gospel multiple times before repenting) but what you do with it. Surrendering to Christ is the response, regardless of how many times you’ve rejected in the past that results in assurance. Many of the Jews in Jesus’ day gave lip service acknowledging God’s Word but did not follow in obedience. Is not this false piety not worse than outright denial?
Humble surrender, broken repentance is the response God is tender toward. False piety is self-deception and will have no reward, only consequences.
