The Bible is simple enough for a child to understand, but deep enough for a theologian to study their entire life. The Bible was written to common people (it was written in Koine “common” Greek) and the priesthood of all Believers is essential to our faith. There is no hierarchy of special favor with God. However, there are teachers and pastors, that God has called and tasked with equipping the body to grow as mature disciples and to lead the group back to and deeper in the Word of God. The teacher isn’t the Holy Spirit, but the Holy Spirit certainly does use the teacher. None of us are so wise that we can’t learn something from others. If we think we are, we are fools.
